"Every good & true Christian
should understand that wherever
he may find truth, it is his Lord's."

-Augustine of Hippo

Christian Worldview

More than the mere transmission of facts, education involves the communication of life principles and values. Therefore, at Live Oak the understanding of God as Creator and of His saving purposes in history through Jesus Christ underlies all learning pursuits. We teach from the conviction that all truth is God’s truth, seeking to illustrate the story of God’s interaction with humankind as we study history, literature, and the fine arts. The spiritual and intellectual life of a student need not be separated. Students’ faith can energize and inform their academic work, even as their vigorous study of the various disciplines can deepen and undergird their Christian commitment as they begin to realize that "The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof" (Psalm 24:1).
